Vertically Media is a paid advertising agency run by Max Minus, 4 Fairmont Avenue, Canary Wharf, London E14 9JB. We are the controller of the personal data described on this page. If you have any questions about it, email max@verticallymedia.co.uk.
We run our own internal software to manage the ad accounts our clients share with us. On Meta this is the app “Vertically Media – Ads Connect”, which uses the Meta Marketing API to read ad performance and to create and manage campaigns in ad accounts a client has shared with the Vertically Media business portfolio. Our TikTok app does the same for TikTok ad accounts.
These apps are not offered to the public and do not use Facebook Login or TikTok Login. They do not collect personal data from people who see, like or click ads. The data they handle is advertising data owned by our clients: campaigns, ads, spend and results, which the platforms report in aggregate. We do not sell it, share it with anyone other than the client it belongs to, or use it to build profiles of individuals.
To reply to enquiries and send the newsletter you signed up for, to understand how this website is used, to provide and report on the advertising work our clients ask for, and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the business, your consent where you sign up for something, and, for clients, performing our contract with them.
We do not sell personal data. We use service providers to run the business: HubSpot (customer records, forms and email), Google Workspace (email and files), GoDaddy (website hosting), Cloudflare (website security) and Xero (accounting). Advertising platforms receive data only as part of running a client’s own ad accounts. Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK data protection law requires.
Enquiries are kept for up to two years. Newsletter sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe. Client records are kept for as long as we work together and then for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it. Email max@verticallymedia.co.uk and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
To ask us to delete any data we hold about you, including any data connected with our Meta or TikTok apps, email max@verticallymedia.co.uk with the subject “Data deletion”. We will delete it within 30 days and confirm by email when it is done.
